We are the “we” in power – and we can empower you.The role.The Director of Quality Assurance is responsible for establishing a factory quality assurance system and culture that promotes customer satisfaction. This role serves to champion continuous improvement efforts and fault reduction initiatives to establish an effective Quality Management System (QMS) that positively impacts the financial performance of the Norwood factory.This position will be on-site with the office located in Norwood, OH.ResponsibilitiesInitiates and implements quality improvement activities as appropriate (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma) to raise the performance of the company’s product lines.Educates and trains employees as to their impact in the quality management system.Develops, implements, leads and integrates a QMS for manufacturing plants.Serves as the primary quality control resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.Interacts with plant quality control and R&D personnel on a regular basis to ensure CTQ compliance of products.Supports concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance and the customer.Designs, implements and documents procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.Establishes and implements metrics (process capability, control charts, measurement quality) for supervising system effectiveness and to enable managers to make sound product quality decisions.Performs root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements.Analyzes customers’ product specifications to establish efficient, cost-effective requirements for ease of manufacture and reproducibility.Develops process certification standards and assist in process certification.Monitors vendor performance and establish criteria and rating system for critical vendors.Reviews customer purchase orders, contracts and change requests and ensure that the vital criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans.Interacts with customers to find opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel.Supervises calibration and testing programs.Reports to management on quality issues, trends and losses.Reviews suppliers purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements.Participates in internal and external quality audits.Works with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality control and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.All other reasonable duties, as assigned.Your profile.Education And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or business administration or equivalentFive (5) years of experience in QA systems implementation and management in a medium-size manufacturing environment.Six Sigma black-belt certification, with a proven track record of business performance improvement.Competencies And QualificationsCustomer-Focused: Proven effectiveness in listening to and communicating with both internal and external customers.Organization and planning: Plans, organizes, schedules, and budgets projects in an efficient, productive manner.Creative and Proactive: Regularly brings new ideas and fresh approaches to the table.Flexibility/Adaptability: Adjusts quickly to changing conditions and priorities.Persistence: Demonstrates tenacity and a willingness to go the distance to get something done.Communication and Listening Skills: Demonstrates exceptional written and oral communication skills.Teamwork: Regularly contacts peers and cooperates with potential partners within and outside the Company.Computer Skills: Highly proficient in MS Office and Adobe Creative suites.What we offer.At Innomotics, we are committed to an ownership culture, in which every employee takes personal responsibility for our company’s success.
