Salary: $120,000 - $145,000 per year

This role is integral to managing and delivering multifamily projects of varying sizes and complexities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire project cycle, including planning, directing, coordinating, and budgeting activities concerned with the construction of multifamily residential projects.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop and manage detailed project budgets, tracking all project costs to ensure completion within budget.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to transform structural plans into a workable project.
  • Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency, including adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Manage the planning and execution of construction tasks in line with project timelines.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status, daily progress, estimates, and deliverables.
  • Utilize specialist construction management software.
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain permits and licenses.
  • Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the management of new construction, with a focus on multifamily projects.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time and on budget, with a strong understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with project management software.
  • Knowledge of relevant rules and regulations, as well as quality and safety standards.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively with different kinds of project teams.
