Job Details:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Architectural Construction Administrator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who has this type of experience already and wants a hybrid schedule. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on a diverse range of projects, including multi-family residential, commercial, and institutional buildings. This role requires an individual who has a strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and architectural design principles. Responsibilities:
- Oversee construction projects from inception to completion.
- Review and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure compliance with design standards and building codes.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure all project requirements are met.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, schedules, budgets, and change orders.
- Ensure that all construction activities adhere to established safety standards and regulations.
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on architectural construction progress, issues, and solutions.
- Conduct post-construction evaluations to assess the quality of work and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree -- in Architecture, Construction Management, or a closely related field, or extensive time in a Construction Administration role.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in architectural construction administration, with a focus on multi-family residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficient in using architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-informed decisions under pressure.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive approach to work, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and implement effective solutions.
- Professional registration as an Architect or Construction Manager is preferred.
