DescriptionWe are Nashville's original community - based hospital. NGH continues to maintain its strong commitment to the healthcare needs of Nashville and Davidson County underserved, while also providing care to all segments of the communityKey Responsibilities:Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventional cardiology procedures, including coronary angiograms, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), and other catheter-based procedures.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including general cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.Evaluate patients with coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction, and other cardiovascular conditions, providing appropriate interventional treatments.Interpret diagnostic tests, such as EKGs, stress tests, and echocardiograms, to formulate treatment plans.Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency interventional cardiology services, including management of ST-elevation myocardial infarctions (STEMI).Provide pre-procedural and post-procedural patient care and consultation.Educate patients and their families on cardiovascular disease prevention, treatment options, and post-procedure recovery.Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and stay current with the latest advancements in interventional cardiology.Qualifications:Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.Board certification or eligibility in Interventional Cardiology.Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology from an accredited program.Valid state medical license to practice as a cardiologist.Experience in coronary angioplasty, stent placement, and other percutaneous interventions.Strong knowledge of cardiovascular diseases, anatomy, and interventional techniques.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in structural heart disease interventions (e.g., TAVR, MitraClip) is a plus.Active involvement in clinical research or teaching.Work Environment:Hospital-based practice with state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratories.Collaborative and supportive team of cardiologists, surgeons, and healthcare professionals.Opportunities for professional growth, continuing education, and participation in research initiatives.Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits packageHealth, dental, and vision insuranceMetro Health Incentive Program - Access to high quality healthcare without incurring out-of-pocket expensesPaid time off and continuing education opportunities12 paid holidaysSupportive and collaborative work environmentWe are an E-Verify employer.
