Registered Nurse or LPN - Long Term Care Unit

This position is eligible for shift differentials: 

Evening: $3.00 per hour

Night: $5.00 per hour

Weekend $2.00 per hour (in addition to any applicable evening or night differentials)  

Unit Registered Nurse

The salary range for Unit RN is Min: $34.88 Max: $59.93

Job Summary

The Unit RN performs services requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment and skill for carrying out the nursing regimen in support of medical care, based upon the principles of the biological, physiological, behavioral, and social sciences.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required.

Experience

  • Gerontological nursing and knowledge of supervision techniques preferred.
  • Able to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Demonstrate competence as a nursing practitioner.
  • BLS certification

Unit Licensed Practical Nurse

The salary range for Unit LPN is Min: $28.71 Max: $42.66

Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse performs services requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment and skill for carrying out selected aspects of the designated nursing regiment under the direction of a RN.


Education
Current LPN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required.

Experience

  • Gerontological nursing and knowledge of supervision techniques preferred.
  • Able to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Demonstrate competence as a nursing practitioner.
  • BLS certification

In addition to our many specialized services, Helen Porter continues to build upon our 30-year tradition of high-quality long-term care services. Separated from the Memory Care Neighborhood and the short-term Post Acute Rehabilitation Unit, our long-term care residents receive nursing care and assistance with daily living, as well as programs and activities tailored to their abilities and needs.
