The Vice President of Asset Management (Operations - VPAM) is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the efficient and profitable operation of a diverse multifamily property portfolio. This position serves as a critical link between executive leadership and regional management teams, ensuring optimal performance across all assets.
Compensation
Base Salary: $140,000 per yearAnnual Performance Bonus: Up to $65,000Schedule
Full-time, minimum 40 hours per weekOccasional evenings, weekends, and off-hours as neededTravel: 25% in office/remote, up to 75% Travel required (visiting properties/assets)Reporting Structure

Senior Vice President, Asset ManagementExecutive Leadership TeamPrimary Responsibilities:
Financial Oversight
Review and approve expenses up to $15,000Oversee revenue management and rent pricing strategiesMonitor delinquency levels and work with legal counsel on complex casesAssist in annual budget preparation and ongoing financial analysisTeam Leadership
Directly manage Regional Managers across multiple marketsProvide mentorship, problem-solving support, and performance managementServe as interim coverage during Regional Manager absencesTrain new Regional Managers as neededOperational Excellence
Ensure timely execution of lease renewals, rent collections, maintenance, and move-in processesLead weekly pricing strategy meetings with regional teams and third-party partnersOversee ancillary revenue streams and leasing concessionsManage vendor relationships and negotiate service contractsAsset Performance
Conduct quarterly site inspections of propertiesDevelop and implement action plans for property improvementsOversee preventative maintenance programsCollaborate with maintenance teams on small to medium-sized renovation projectsStrategic Initiatives
Assist in developing and implementing new operational proceduresParticipate in due diligence for potential acquisitionsSupport the rollout of training initiatives and policy updatesRepresent the company in interactions with local government entitiesQualifications
Extensive experience in multifamily property management or asset managementStrong financial acumen and budgeting skillsExcellent leadership and communication abilitiesProficiency with property management software and data analysis toolsWillingness to travel regularly for site visits and team meetingsTravel Requirements
Regular travel to properties within the portfolio (primarily regional, some national)Occasional travel for acquisitions due diligence or industry eventsJob Type: Full-time
