We are a top-tier, award-winning public accounting firm in the finance industry, currently seeking a seasoned Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position offering top-end compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will play a vital role in our firm, providing expert tax advice and services to a diverse client base, including high net worth individuals and various entities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals (1040), corporations (ccorp, scorp), partnerships, trusts, and estates.
  • Conduct thorough account analysis and make necessary adjusting journal entries.
  • Generate detailed balance sheet and cash flow reports.
  • Provide expert tax planning advice to high net worth individuals (HNW Tax) to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline tax processes and improve efficiency.
  • Stay updated with the latest tax laws and regulations and advise clients accordingly.
  • Assist in tax audits and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax accountant role, preferably within a public accounting firm.
  • Extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Proficient in preparing tax returns for various entities, including corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
