Hospice Business Development ManagerJob Summary: The Hospice Business Development Manager plays an important role in providing guidance for growth for Hospice of South Texas- a CMS 5-star hospice agency. The primary purpose of this position is to develop, manage, coordinate, direct, and administer our agency's business development and public relations programs and services. This position will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and creating strategies to achieve business objectives. Within this position, the Hospice Business Development Manager will conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and the competitive landscape. This position works closely with internal teams to align business development efforts with company goals. The Hospice Business Development Manager develops and executes winning sales strategies, oversees growth plans, conducts field coaching rides, and coaches a team of knowledgeable Community Relations Liaisons to achieve daily sales goals. By excelling in these diverse areas, the Hospice Business Development Manager is a driving force behind Hospice of South Texas' continued success.Job Qualifications: Education- A graduate of an accredited college/university is Skills- At least 2-3 years of experience in healthcare sales management/business developmentPhysical and Mental Effort:Sitting is required. Requires ability to handle stressful situations calmly and courteously at all times. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and agency needs.Environmental and Working Conditions:Works in an office environment, promoting efficient functioning and coordination of all departmental activities to ensure the highest level of professional work. Ability to work a flexible schedule; ability to travel locally; some exposure to unpleasant weather.Essential Function and Responsibilities: Relationship Building: Develop and maintain positive relationships with healthcare professionals, referral sources, agencies, and community organizations to drive business growth. Drives growth by ensuring through follow-up that eligible patients who desire our care are admitted.Sales and Marketing: Utilize a consultative sales approach and effective marketing strategies to identify potential clients from various sources and generate referrals.Client Outreach: Conduct cold-calling, networking, and face-to-face presentations to promote our healthcare services and generate interest among potential clients. Develops and implements programs for public relations and special events. Educate referral sources and the community regarding who to refer, when to refer, how to refer, and how to make it easy to refer.Territory Management: Cover a designated geographic area, which may include (Victoria Crossroads Area) to establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and make required sales calls. Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the business development team, collaborating on strategies and sharing insights to maximize results. Drives growth by identifying barriers and working with clinical and operational leadership until barriers are resolved and customer needs and concerns are addressed.Manages the development and execution of business growth plans and marketing tools that help maximize market penetration.Manage budgets and resources for business development projects.Regularly update senior leadership and board members on business development activities and progress.
