Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team, supporting our nationwide operations with over 57 offices and 869 job sites. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our hybrid cloud and network environments, with a focus on Microsoft and Fortinet technologies. This role includes supporting the infrastructure behind critical business applications, ensuring they operate seamlessly to meet organizational needs. Additionally, you will drive standardization across our Azure resources, focusing on right-sizing and optimizing resources to manage costs effectively.Key Responsibilities:Infrastructure Management: Administer and maintain a hybrid Active Directory environment using Entra, Azure, and on-premises configurationsApplication Infrastructure Support: Ensure the underlying infrastructure supports business-critical applications, collaborating with application owners to maintain performance and reliabilityCloud Operations and Standardization: Oversee and standardize Azure cloud resources to avoid oversizing, ensuring right-sized, efficient, and cost-effective configurations. Drive efforts to allocate cloud costs appropriately, aligning with FinOps principlesNetwork Administration: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a complex Fortinet landscape, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiSwitches, FortiAPs, and FortiClient VPN (ZTNA). Ensure high performance and security of 200+ switches, 44+ firewalls, and countless access pointsVendor Coordination: Partner with multiple ISPs, including fiber, copper, and StarLink providers, for network provisioning, decommissioning, and ongoing supportData Protection: Support and manage data backup solutions, including N-Able, Azure Backup, and evaluate/implement Commvault Metallic for future needsCollaboration Tools: Support and optimize Microsoft 365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Box, and DropboxBusiness Intelligence: Manage and support Microsoft Fabric and Power BI environments for reporting and analyticsQualifications:Experience: 8+ years in IT infrastructure roles with a strong focus on Microsoft and Fortinet productsTechnical Proficiency:In-depth knowledge of Azure, Entra, and hybrid Active Directory environmentsExtensive experience with Fortinet products, including FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, and FortiClient VPN ZTNAStrong familiarity with network protocols, ISP relationships, and provisioning/decommissioning processesProficiency in backup and recovery solutions, specifically N-Able, Azure Backup, and CommvaultAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, Power BI, and cloud cost management practices (FinOps)Certifications:Azure: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer AssociateFortinet: NSE4 - Fortinet Network Security Professional, NSE5 - Fortinet Network Security Analyst, and NSE7 - Fortinet Troubleshooting ProfessionalM indset and Skills:Critical thinking, team spirit, and a one team, one fight approachStrong collaborative skills with a willingness to mentor and develop junior resourcesProactive approach to infrastructure optimization and cost managementWe are NOT accepting recruitment agency or third-party inquiries for this position.
