Description:We are currently seeking 1st and 2nd shift Welder / Fitter for plate and structural fabrication work.Basic knowledge of fitting plate, structural material and pipe utilizing shop drawings, specifications and travelersUse torches to cut/cope beams, cut/bevel plates and heat straighten partsKnowledge of fitting and welding various materials; carbon steel, stainless steel, inconel and aluminumWelding processes may include; Flux-cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Metal-cored Arc Welding (MCAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) and Submerged Arc Weld (SAW)Perform welding in the flat, horizontal and vertical positionsProduce consistent welds in accordance with shop drawings and customer specificationsFollow welding procedure specifications (WPS) to set up welding machines and check weld sizes with company-issued weld gagesRun overhead cranes and forklifts when necessary to move parts throughout the shop
