The welder fitter will lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble handrails using MIG and TIG Welding principlesPrimarily Flux coreFitting Experience5 years structural steel/fab shopMechanical AptitudeRequirements- 2 years experience with the layout and fitting of handrails-ability to layout the pitch of a handrail- ability and know how to cope and fish mouth pipe ends for good fit-up-3 years Tig welding aluminum and stainless steel-3 years Mig welding aluminum and stainless steel-Ability to read blueprints-ability to read a WPS sheet-ability to safely operate overhead crane and tow motor to move material-must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license-Ability to read Weld Symbols- Job shop experience-ability to pass a 3G weld test
