Description

Primary Summary:

Under general supervision of the Loan Servicing Manager, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, performs complex loan servicing functions. Has thorough knowledge of policies, procedures and guidelines concerning areas of job responsibilities. Provide quality service to members while servicing mortgage, consumer and commercial loans.

Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:

•Responsible for responding to Credit Bureau disputes.

•Responsible for tracking Notice of Errors and Information Requests.

•Work closely with COCC - Loans on loan product updates and creation.

•Responsible for bankruptcies, non-accrual loan, charge-off, loan modification and trouble debt restructuring processing and tracking in support of the collections department.

•Monitors daily loan exception reports and processes life and disability claims and insurance claims.

•Responsible for serviced loan reporting (FHLB, MHP for example), force placed hazard and flood insurance monitoring, rate index change maintenance and year-end tax reporting.

•Supervises Loan Servicing Associates in the absence of the Loan Servicing manager.

Requirements

Experience

5 to 10 years of financial operations or similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.

5 years in a loan service role.

Computer experience necessary with knowledge of credit union systems (Insight, etc.)

Education/Certifications/Licenses

Bachelor's degree in a business administration or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Interpersonal Skills

A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with members, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.

Other Skills

Demonstrated knowledge of industry rules and regulations related to Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, Member Identification Policy, Truth in Savings, Truth in Lending, Regulation CC, Plastic Cards, and Funds Availability, etc. General capabilities in the use of personal computer-based business application software.

Will be required to work outside of scheduled hours to respond to positions issues.

Salary Description

Market Value $39.75/hr, min $32.60/hr, max $47.70/
