Financial Analyst

VISTA Technology Services, Inc. (VISTA) is currently seeking a junior Financial Analyst to support our NAVSEA customer located in Crystal City, VA. This is a hybrid position reporting onsite 3 days/week.Responsibilities:Supports program Business Financial Management (BFM) Team responsible for financial/budget executionPerforms budgeting, funding execution, and financial analysis to ensure accurate allocation and utilization of financial resourcesUpdates and monitors spend plans and budgets with multiple types of appropriationsReviews financial data and documentation for compliance with government requirementsManages multiple tasks and completes within the time frame specified by the program manager, prepares briefs, status reports and presentationsWorks independently and with BFM teamCommunicates with internal and external teamsSupports a variety of financial tasking, special projects, data calls and updating congressional briefsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree preferred1-3 years of relevant federal/DoD financial/budget experienceExperience providing client-facing support to federal/DoD programs (Navy/NAVSEA programs desired)Familiarity with DoD Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PPBE) cycleFamiliarity with appropriation funding obligations, expenditures, and benchmarksUnderstanding of DoD/DoN procedures and policies (DoD 5000 process)Experience with Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)Prior experience working in a fast-paced work environmentProficiency with MS Office365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)Active DoD Secret clearance requiredThis position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.For this position, VISTA will consider only applicants with an active DoD security clearance.VISTA offers a strong compensation package and a competitive leave package.
