Overview: E2 is looking for a IT Product Manager for Utilities T&D (Transmission and Distribution) who will be accountable for the end-to-end product lifecycle management for their assigned product line. This individual will leverage consultative skills to collaborate with leadership, understand business challenges, and recommend people / process / technology changes to solve issues. As technology needs are identified, this role will develop five-year roadmaps and partner with product owners on curating the product backlogs aimed at delivering maximum value. Additionally, this individual acts as a liaison between IT and other business units in the organization, conduct solution planning activities to develop business cases with quantitative business outcomes that will help leadership make educated funding decisions based on the priority within the portfolio. Once budgets have been allocated, this individual manages all stages of the system development life cycle, including analysis, estimation, design, evaluation, demonstration, construction, testing, implementation, and post-implementation support. This individual should be able to flex between waterfall, agile, and hybrid execution methods based on the needs of the initiative. This employee will manage vendor development teams, Agile Release Train, Features, establish sprint goals, facilitate daily stand ups, lead project governance committee meetings, update statuses in the IT project management tool, and ensure adherence to IT standards / processes. Should constantly review project health, proactively identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues to leadership for awareness and assistance. This resource will focus on writing vendor statements of work with clear scope, responsibilities, expectations, and success measures. Negotiates costs, evaluates the performance of contingent workers, partners with vendor account management to adjust resources, and escalates significant deficiencies to IT management and Supply Management leadership. Additionally, provide guidance and coaching to the project team, onboard and offboard resources properly and ensuring all resources adhere to policy and procedures. Furthermore, this individual must demonstrate strong financial acumen. Accountable to develop the initial estimate during solution planning and refining the higher confidence estimate during solution analysis. During project execution, this individual manages cost plans, invoices, unit estimates, and work orders. This individual should be able to reconcile forecast with actuals while providing detailed variance explanations. For agile projects, this individual will evaluate the teams velocity and burn rates to ensure appropriate level of value is received for the fixed monthly capacity cost. Ultimately, this individual is focused on ensuring a successful delivery of target business outcomes. This requires the individual to collaborate with and build cross-functional product teams across IT Cybersecurity, IT Enterprise Architecture, IT Grid Services, IT PMO, IT SMOO, Information Governance, Supply Management, and Operational Finance. Additionally, works with stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of each initiative to evaluate the business value realization compared with the initiate targeted outcomes that were defined prior to kickoff. Responsibilities:
Technical Project Management Performs project planning (scope, schedule, budget), analysis, estimation, design, evaluation, demonstration, construction, and implementation for multiple concurrent initiatives with medium or high complexity. Ensures outcomes satisfy business requirements and project deliverables meet quality targets. Monitors, measures, and reports on progress to management and clients. Leads forecasting, financial management, change management, risk management, and project tracking / controls for assigned projects. Ability to apply project management methodologies (agile to produce appropriate business value outcomes. Business Demand Management & Strategic Planning Manages the development and periodic refresh of the strategic roadmap within the product line thats focused on the five-year invest, sustain, and ringfence plan for each product. Serves as the main point of contact for new technology requests within the assigned product line. Develops the business case for each initiative that will help IT/Organizational Unit (OU) leadership make educated decisions on the priority within the portfolio. Manage and prioritize demands along with resource capacity, architectural solution and evaluation of operational and developmental value streams. Business Value Realization Partners with the OU product owners to curate the product backlog to maximize business value. Works with OU leadership to define target benefits / outcomes and tracks the business value realization at the completion of each project. Makes critical decisions during project execution related to scope / budget changes while ensuring the business case is not eroded. Partners with HR organizational change management to develop training and communication plans to maximize org readiness and user adoption. Financial Management Manages the project teams to ensure initiatives stay within allocated budget (both capital and O&M). Ensures change requests align with the prioritized product backlog and are approved by the appropriate governance body. Develops project estimates, maintains cost plans, and provides explanations on project variances. Stakeholder Management Measures and reports on project progress to management and OU partners. Identifies risks, develops mitigation plans, communicates status of issues, escalates to leadership as appropriate. Manage internal and external partners typically influences the entire business relationship between the parties. Resource Management Performs capacity planning, forecasting, and balancing of people resources across OU, IT, and suppliers. Qualifications:
Utility, T&D (Transmission and Distribution), experience is required. At least 10 years of relevant experience, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing IT product strategy and planning. Bachelors Degree in business administration or other related field. Demonstrated experience of Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Strong financial acumen. Ability to reconcile forecast with actuals while providing detailed variance explanations. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to think strategically and translate business requirements into actionable product plans. Strong attention to detail with proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions. Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and lead by example.

Wage Data Per State Requirements: The salary range for this position is $140,000.00 - $180,000.00. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
