JOB SUMMARY :
The Data Analyst - Rotational Program role supports the Caesars Entertainment 'Strategic Analytics' department mission of providing world class analytical support, delivering insights that drive profit, and being a reliable business partner for all operational areas including Gaming, Marketing, Labor, VIP (Casino) Marketing/Operations, and Hospitality (Hotel, Food & Beverage, Revenue Management, Retail, Conventions).
The Data Analyst - Rotational Program role is an intensive 6-9 month rotational program that navigates across various analytics functions within the Strategic Analytics Department. Upon successful completion of the rotational program, Analysts will be matched to a specific vertical based on their interests and department needs.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS :Conduct objective, rigorous analytics to help the business improve profitability, operational processes, and customer service - e.g., identification and evaluation of revenue growth opportunities, resource optimization, optimal investment mix, competitive market dynamics, customer behavior, and pricing optimizationDistill vast datasets into actionable insights and recommendations that guide decisions and strategies. Contribute to the development of presentation materials and assist in presenting findings to senior management concisely in verbal and written formatsPlay an active role in the development, roll-out, and post-launch evaluation of strategic projectsDevelop and support reporting for operating departments to provide senior leaders visibility into trends and business performance driversUse technology (e.g., SQL, R, Tableau, Google BigQuery, Python) to develop analytics and reporting toolsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year collegeExperience querying, analyzing, and visualizing large data setsStrength in critical thinking, problem solving, and written and verbal communication. Comfort in articulating complex information and analyses to a variety of audiencesIntellectual curiosity and willingness to quickly learn relevant database applications and software, as well as industry-specific terminology and dynamicsDemonstrated interest in a career in data- and analytics-driven businessDesire to understand a broad range of operations within the casino and hospitality industryAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines while consistently delivering accurate and high-quality workDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environmentAbility to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrityPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree from a top-tier program in one of the following areas: Finance, Marketing, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics/Statistics, Hotel Management, Business, or Data ScienceGraduate Degree in one of the following areas or in an equivalent technical field: Business, Economics, Mathematics/Statistics, Hotel ManagementExposure to statistical analysis or optimization analyticsProficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: SQL, R, VBA, SAS, Python, and/or experience in working with Google BigQuery. Some experience in working with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Hyperion experience a plus
