Job Description:
ECS is seeking a qualified Systems Administrator (Junior) to support transformative science and technology solutions for the Department of Energy. In this position you will assist with the daily activities of configuration and operation of systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based. You will also assist with the optimizing of system operation and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning, and provide assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
Required Skills:
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or DOE Q clearance throughout the life of the contractMust be a US CitizenBachelor's DegreeOR
Associate's Degree AND two years of related work experienceOR
Four years of related work experienceMust currently live in Morgantown, WV or willing to relocateAbility to work independently and as part of a team2 to 3 years' experience as a junior systems administratorExperience with cloud-based systems and tools (e.g., Azure, AWS, SSO, etc.)Experience with VMWare (vCenter and View)Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Active DirectoryKnowledge of basic network principles and functions (e.g., DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, etc.)Knowledge of Microsoft folder, file, and sharing securityExperience installing and configuring Windows Server operating systemsExperience administering and maintaining user accounts within a Microsoft Active DirectoryExperience troubleshooting Windows Server issues and network connectivity issuesExperience troubleshooting Windows applications and application deploymentsStrong written, oral, and telephone communication skillsExcellent technical writing skills; responsible for fully documenting problem resolutions for Tier 1 / 2 techniciansExperience with Microsoft Endpoint ManagementExperience with Windows AutopilotDevice Management to include laptops, desktop and mobile devicesExperience with Full Disk Encryption solutionWindows Defender ATP skillsProvide technical guidance for the implementation of endpoint protection toolsDesired Skills:
Two or more years experience supporting US Government customersProject Management Professional certificationExperience supporting complex government and programs of a research and development nature
