About the Role
We're seeking a detail-oriented Senior Project Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in managing the financial aspects of our development projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Financial ManagementProcess and verify project invoicesPrepare monthly draw requests for lenders and investorsManage accounts payable and receivable for assigned projectsConduct bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash balancesReporting and Analysis
Generate monthly financial statements and supporting schedulesPrepare project-specific reports and draw reconciliationsAssist with year-end tax reporting and annual auditsManage 1099 processingProject Support
Collaborate with Project Managers on financial mattersProvide financial data for loan closingsProject and communicate cash flow needs to managementOffer guidance to the project management and accounting teamsQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)5+ years of experience in project accounting, preferably in real estate development or constructionProficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office suiteStrong understanding of GAAP and project finance principlesIdeal Candidate
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyProactive problem-solver with a focus on financial efficiencyPhysical Requirements
Ability to move around the office as neededProficiency with standard office equipment and video conferencing toolsCapable of working independently with minimal supervision
