As a member of the electrical maintenance team the overall purpose of this role for maintenance, programming ongoing support of PLC operations system and processes. The qualified candidate will have excellent knowledge of machine mechanics, a logical approach, and the ability to work with minimal mentorship. A skilled PLC programmer should be able to easily identify and craft a robust program fit for any mechanical or electrical purpose. We are a union environment.This is an onsite positionAvailable benefits package includes:Medical/Dental/Vision401kVacation/Paid Sick LeaveResponsibilities:Include (but are not limited to):Craft and develop control programs for electrical machines and systems.Looking for fault diagnostics and perform maintenance as needed.Address, and repair AC/DC circuits.Develop and optimize PLC processes.Visualizing processes to ensure system is operating to its full potential.Develop, maintain and deliver training to teamCoordinate /prioritize work in support of production requirementsAssist in scheduling and supporting hourly electricians performing maintenance tasks.Plan work and ensure all parts needed are available to support electrical maintenance tasks.Continuous improvement design and development support of ongoing projectsAny other task as directed by SupervisorQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or an equivalent combination of validated experience and education.3 or more years of controls/PLC programming experience in industrial production environmentProficiency in PLC and HMI programmingKnowledgeable of NEC and NFPA regulations as it relates electrical safetyStrong proficiency in Allen Bradley Ladder logic programming for PLC5, SLC500 and ContrologixKnowledge of medium voltage and infrastructure.Familiar with Wonder wareRead and understand electrical drawings, schematics, and procedures.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.McWane Ductile NJ is a Federal VEVRAA contractor and an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing equal employment opportunity in all employment practices.
