The
Procurement Coordinator
plays a critical role in Umpqua Health's HR team, providing comprehensive support across various facets of people operations. This role is instrumental in managing the procurement of essential resources, coordinating internal and community events, and ensuring efficient logistical operations. The People Operations Coordinator also oversees and plans the weekly Wednesday company lunches, contributing to a positive and engaging work environment. By collaborating closely with key stakeholders, this role helps to foster a cohesive and productive workplace that aligns with Umpqua Health's mission and values.
Your Impact
Manage the Umpqua Health company store, including inventory management, product selection, and order fulfillment, for both internal and external events.Ensure software license contracts are properly documented and entered into the system for tracking and compliance.Oversee the purchasing process for office supplies, HRSN and FLEX benefits, and company-branded merchandise, ensuring all transactions are within approved parameters.Research and negotiate rates with vendors to secure the best possible pricing for goods and services.Manage inventory levels and ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of necessary materials.Collaborate on the logistics of community events, ensuring effective delivery and presentation of company swag and materials.Oversee and plan the weekly Wednesday company breakfast, coordinating menus, catering, and logistics to promote a positive and engaging work environment.Manage the scheduling of conference rooms to ensure availability for meetings and events, coordinating with staff to prevent conflicts.Work closely with Accounts Payable to send over invoices related to purchasing activities and ensure timely processing.Facilitate the delivery and setup of equipment, products, and materials as needed for both internal and external events.Maintain up-to-date records of purchasing activities, inventory, event logistics, and software licenses to support informed decision-making.Perform other duties as assigned by management needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization's Values.Your Credentials
Previous experience in HR, people operations, procurement, event coordination, or administrative support is preferred but not required; training will be provided.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on collaboration and fostering a positive workplace culture.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is preferred.Ability to work independently, handle confidential information with discretion, and maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks.Attention to detail and accuracy in managing procurement processes, financial records, event logistics, and administrative tasks.Problem-solving abilities to identify challenges and implement effective solutions in people operations and procurement.Collaboration skills to work effectively within a team and across departments, supporting a cohesive and inclusive workplace.Initiative and adaptability to improve processes and workflows while being flexible to changing priorities and organizational needs.
