you will find that as well as outstanding opportunities for professionals looking to grow in their careers.The IT Platform/Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of National Indemnity Company's Windows-based Server and Middleware application environment. Initiates projects and prepares project plans. Forms and schedules project teams when necessary. Identifies and coordinates resource requirements to ensure successful project completion. Provides leadership and guidance to project team members and technical staff. Maintains strict confidentiality.This position will be with National Indemnity Company located in Omaha, NE with a hybrid work environment requiring 50% in-office. #LI-KC1 / #LI-HybridWhat will you do?Acts as systems engineer for Windows-based servers and Middleware applications.
Installs, and administers operating systems and Middleware software to provide needed capabilities for the user environment.
Analyzes and identifies inefficiencies or problems within Middleware systems, determines the need, and works to resolve the issue.
Provides technical instructions and training to other support staff, and provides leadership and mentoring when necessary.
Troubleshoots hardware and software problems during working hours and after hours as required by urgency or nature of situation.
What are we looking for?Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
Minimum 3-5 years related work experience
Experience with Windows Server OS Administration
Experience with enterprise software installation and administration
Basic operation of Microsoft Office and other productivity software
Who would excel in this role?Microsoft Azure experience
M365
ITIL or similar methodologies
Microsoft certification
Scripting Technologies
Citrix, VMWare, MS Exchange, SQL Server Administration
