BASIC FUNCTION
This position will manage all aspects of customer accounts and relationships for the assigned territory and product portfolio to meet sales, market share, and profitability targets within the Channel Sales group. It will have accountabilities for all commercial activities relating to prime and off-grade (OG) sales within the secondary market, ensuring the necessary support from Technical, Customer Service, Logistics, Quality, Planning, and Credit activities to meet customer needs. Seek out and communicate real time competitive market intelligence, including competitive information, to management. Successful candidate will consistently demonstrate commercial excellence during the life cycle of the customer relationship.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Investigates new markets and develops recommendations to management to drive strategic business decisions. Develop long-term sales strategy for key customers, monitor, and adapt sales activities to meet the objective. Collaborates internally across the organization to compile customer and market intelligence to support strategic analysis Partners with Direct Sales, Marketing and Technical Managers to develop sound business strategies and understand strategy implications on industry leading customers. Develops and leverages external resources to gain market intelligence and gains expertise on market areas of interest that we do not actively participate in. Work with Senior Business Advisor to develop strategic recommendations to optimize business (e.g., improve margin, decrease risk, etc.) based on analysis of existing business and understanding of operational capabilities, cost, and limitations - and works with business leadership to implement recommendations. Evaluates customer, product, and market mix to understand areas of risk or opportunity that need to be addressed through commercial action. Understands asset base, limitations, and capabilities to identify areas of commercial and operational synergy or risk. Assist Management with special projects, as assigned. Other duties as defined / assigned by Management. Candidate must be able to collaborate very effectively across all functions and levels within the organization, to build trust and gain understanding of various topics. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, able to navigate complex business situations and logically and systematically build out a framework to address the question and develop actionable recommendations. Effective presenter capable of delivering clear, concise presentations with clear conclusions, justification, and recommends. Able to navigate excel data comfortably, and use formulas, pivot tables, and macros as needed to effectively draw conclusions based on complex data. Other duties as assigned. CORE VALUES

This position requires the incumbent to:
Follow safety requirements for the role. Wear required PPE (eye protection, noise protection, etc.) when inside plant environment, or where directed by signage. Lift up to 10 pounds Walk safely in and around industrial areas. Work under deadline pressure within an environment that demands attention to safety and detail. Sit or stand for extended periods of time. Work at computer for significant periods of time throughout the day
