Role
SCS is seeking a Director to join the Boston office. As part of the client relationship team dedicated to serving the financial and investment needs of clients, this individual will work with clients to provide comprehensive wealth management services.
The ideal candidate will be a highly accomplished wealth management professional who possesses a track record of working with UHNW individuals, families and family offices as well as endowments and foundations. This person will thoroughly understand the issues, nuances and key topics relevant to this client base and be willing to provide the highest level of client service, professionalism and confidentiality.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
Directly engaging with clients to understand their needs, goals and risk tolerance;
Thinking creatively and strategically about client needs and leading the development of client financial and investment plans;
Communicating complex financial solutions to clients and providing key strategic advice to clients, utilizing interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills;
Connecting clients to the firm’s vast planning and investing expertise;
Leading client meetings and designing the strategic framework for client presentations and analysis;
Developing and maintaining client relationships, ensuring a positive client experience;
Serving in a leadership role on advisor team, mentoring and coaching junior advisors.
Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree; CFP or CFA designation preferred;
8+ years of experience in a relationship management role at a similar wealth management firm, investment management organization or private bank;
Fluency in planning and/or investment topics;
Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills;
Analytical with a strong attention to detail; Problem solve effectively;
High energy and highly self-motivated with the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment;
Strong written and oral communication skills;
Willingness to travel on occasion for client meetings.
