The Youth Program Director, under the leadership of the Senior Director of Out of School Time, is responsible for supervising and managing operations, staff development, and program implementation for a cohort of elementary school sites contracted with the Stonestown Family YMCA. This role oversees staff within the youth programs, including Site Coordinators, Lead Staff, and Program Leaders. The Youth Program Director also acts as a liaison with various public and private entities to support the mission of the YMCA.The Youth Program Director is responsible for leading and managing the Out of School Time programs at the Stonestown Family YMCA, ensuring safety, program quality, and alignment with organizational goals. The role involves developing and maintaining relationships with staff, participants, volunteers, and community partners, while collaborating with senior leadership to implement strategic plans for youth development. The Director also oversees fiscal management, including budgeting, contract administration, and contributes to the YMCA's Annual Giving Campaign.Job Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, and manage all Before & After School programs at the Stonestown Family YMCA.Implement the YMCA of Greater San Francisco’s strategic vision for Out of School Time programs, focusing on program safety, quality, and fiscal responsibility.Support the growth and development of the Youth Development Department.Develop and maintain relationships with staff, participants, volunteers, and community partners.Coach and mentor staff and volunteers, ensuring alignment with YMCA leadership models and staff development plans.Collaborate with the Associate Executive Director and Senior Directors to implement youth development strategies based on community needs.Manage department budgets, contracts, and independent contractor agreements.Oversee the preparation of reports for funders and ensure compliance with evaluation requirements.Lead fundraising efforts, including the community campaign portion of the annual fundraising campaign.Foster a collaborative culture of philanthropy among staff, volunteers, and board members.Participate in branch leadership, marketing, communications, and special events, supporting organization-wide initiatives.Apply strategic problem-solving and change management approaches in leadership.Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of experience in youth programs with supervisory responsibilities.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency with MS Office Suite.Availability Monday through Friday, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. This position is primarily in-person.Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to ethnic, socioeconomic, educational, and religious diversity.Familiarity with schools and community-based organizations.Fingerprint and TB test clearance, YMCA-approved First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in youth development or coaching.Bilingual in Spanish, Cantonese, or Mandarin.Credits for After-School & CA State Licensing experience; Y-USA Team Leader Certification.All employees working with the YMCA are considered to have supervisory or disciplinary action relationship over minors.
