To start as soon as possible, full time, permanentSenior Paralegal
works with the south or west region real estate and development teams to ensure renewable energy projects have the site control needed to build, construct and operate renewable energy projects. This includes real estate document preparation, title review, survey review, and other special projects as needed.Responsibilities:Draft form of site control documents to utilize for a given project, including amendments, assignment, etc.Establish relationships with title companies to timely pull title for early stage renewable energy projectsOrganize and review incoming title commitmentsPrepare title checklist for projects in early and mid-stages of developmentIdentify curative items needed and prepare such documents such as affidavits, SNDAs, letters of no objection, surface waivers, etc.Review project surveys and provide feedback to real estate and development teamsAssist with late-stage title review to ensure projects are de-risked from a site control, title, and survey perspective prior to constructionAttend weekly project meetings to stay up to date on status of projectsWork within the Real Estate and Permitting Law team’s region, alongside the attorney and real estate specialist, to maintain RWECE processes and proceduresHelp with special projects as needed to make RWECE legal team more efficient and effectiveQualifications:Bachelors Degree or equivalentParalegal Certificate (preferred, but experience more important)Minimum of 5 years experience working within real estate team at a law firm or in-house energy development companyAbility to work within tight deadlinesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationshipsDemonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables spaceExcellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and TeamsStrong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverablesAbility to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a teamMotivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilitiesProven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgroundsResponds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachableIs detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business conceptsThis position is an office-based role. The employee must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of timePay range:
The annual base salary range for this position in California is $83,000 - $124,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
