This is a clinet focused role servicing clients from $500,000 to $10 million in annual recenue, and sometimes larger.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will be the backbone of our financial operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and managing all financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Performing account reconciliations and handling accounts payable and receivable.
- Managing the general ledger and ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.
- Preparing financial statements and reports for senior management, stakeholders, and external auditors.
- Assisting in tax preparation and filing activities.
- Processing payroll for our clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborating with the accounting team to improve financial processes and systems.
- Providing excellent customer service, addressing client inquiries, and resolving any financial discrepancies.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and current financial legislation.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping or senior accounting role.
- Proven experience with account reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, financial accounting, tax preparation, and payroll processing.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and public accounting procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
