Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will handle bank reconciliations, month-end close processes, and engage directly with clients. Experience with non-profit organizations is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform accurate and timely bank reconciliations.
Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the general ledger.
Manage and execute month-end close procedures.
Prepare financial statements and reports for clients.
Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and provide financial support.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Assist with tax preparation and filing during tax season.
Provide support for non-profit clients, including grant accounting and compliance (preferred but not required).
Collaborate with team members on various accounting projects.
Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within a CPA firm.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Experience with non-profit accounting is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Client-facing experience with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
