Senior Technical Leader, Structures

At RK&K, we are hiring an experienced leader in Structural Engineering to join our team in Asheville, NC. As a senior member of our Structures team at RK&K you will focus on leading a variety of dynamic structural pursuits and projects as it relates to transportation. You should have state and municipal experience, be highly proactive, able to develop creative technical solutions, have a strong understanding of structural operations and hands-on experience with bridge design and field operations.Essential FunctionParticipate in Business Development and Marketing to secure future clients and workloadProvide Senior level structural expertise on all project aspects associated with conceptual engineering, detailed engineering designs, and preparation of contract documents for construction followed by construction administration with respect to the structural aspects of the projectProduce construction documents, specifications, and construction cost estimatesFacilitate internal and client meetings, presentations and approval of plans Serve as liaison between client and firmExecute QA/QC for completeness and accuracy of design workProvide engineering judgment and initiative within the Structural Engineering field Required Skills and ExperienceBachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering Twenty (20) or more years of bridge design experience Excellent communication skills including proposal developmentProfessional Engineer (P.E.) in North CarolinaPreferred Skills and ExperienceMasters degree in Structural Engineering Experience with North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and local municipalities Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
