Inspector, Mechanical/HVAC

RK&K is hiring a Mechanical Inspector to monitor active construction sites and perform complex and routine inspections of construction projects to evaluate if appropriate materials and construction processes are being used. Come join our team of professionals in Baltimore, MarylandEssential FunctionOn-site supervision of contractor work crews to verify and ensure compliance with contract documentsInspect and review designs for mechanical systems including HVACResponsible to read and interpret contract documentsDirect supervision of contractor work crews to verify and ensure that good & safe construction practices are being employed to produce quality resultsDirectly responsible for reporting on-site activities and daily progress Responsible for calculation and determination of pay quantitiesResponsible to be able to witness, understand, and verify all required on-site testing is being performed in accordance with applicable standardsResponsible to successfully acquire and maintain current testing certifications as neededRequired Skills and ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED equivalentMust be able to operate basic Microsoft Office Applications, Laptop and iPadExcellent communication skillsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsCapable of working independently on small construction projectsValid driver's license and favorable driving record Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
