Description
The SEO copywriter will be responsible for producing original content and/or refreshing existing copy and backend keywords for all customer product detail pages. This will include researching the product, category, brand's competitors, and customer inquiries to inform the copy. Adherence to our ecommerce customer's best practices and injection of keywords for SEO is a must. The SEO copywriter will understand and stay up to date on what drives our top customer's algorithm, making our products more visible and create copy that converts. The role's main KPI will be organic rank of our products at our top accounts.
Position Summary: Set and execute the SEO strategy- This will include researching the product, category, brand's competitors, and customer inquiries to inform the copy and identifying target keywords for each product category.
Work closely with the Marketing Managers and Specialists to understand consumer insights, consumer FAQ, competitors, what drives consumers to convert, category insights and copy requirements. Research SEO recommendations and competitor ads.
Understand our top ecommerce customer algorithms (what makes us findable at each account) and copy style guides for our top customers and create customer specific copy adhering to their guides. Copy creation and maintenance for all product detail pages (new products and product updates- titles, bullets, description, A+, attributes) and marketing. materials for assigned brands based on SEO best practices and target keywords.
Marketing materials could include copy for: emails, blog posts, social media, brand inserts, manuals, amazon posts, etc. Work with cross functional teams like Customer Service to inject keywords and SEO strategies when responding to questions and reviews on product detail pages.
Responsible for backend keywords and maintenance. Track organic rank of target keywords and implement optimization to improve ranking. Analyze data from tests, campaigns, and website analytics to maximize ROI. Prepare regular SEO reports, present monthly findings, and perform keyword analysis and tracking organic rank on Amazon. Manage SEO tool tech stack. Assess and deliver the proper tonal range per brand style guides, utilizing customized styles when appropriate; Use all house brand tone of voice communication guidelines when writing. Qualifications
Requirements:
Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills. 3-5 years of SEO experience in an ecommerce business. Familiarity with Amazon SEO and best practices. A deep understanding of consumers and what motivates their online shopping behavior. Impeccable attention to detail and can provide writing samples that are free of spelling and grammar errors. You thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adjust quickly to change.
