Summary/objective:

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing job duties to quality and productivity standards. Advanced Tooling Systems (ATS) is in search of a highly motivated individual who is passionate about organization.

Essential functions:Clean, tag and package manufactured products prior to shipmentOrder materials or supplies for shop floor employeesContact and set up outside shipping sourcesReceive, identify and log in all items receivedOrganize pick-up by the carrier specified on the customer's purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping coordinator by final inspection via the shipping instructionsCheck and sign delivery slips for received itemsAssist the shop helpers with unpacking merchandise- verifies the quality and quantity of items against supporting documentsRecord damaged or defective items, and inform Foreman/Manager of issuesAccept or return merchandise according to established company proceduresComplete required forms, and ensure proper documentation of all shipping and receiving itemsOrganize distribution and shipping of merchandise by making necessary verifications against documents, preparing the merchandise and directing shop helpers to move items to the appropriate areaCoordinate local customer pick-ups and shipments with company DriverCommunicate with transportation/logistics companies and suppliers in order to expedite, trace, or return merchandise that does not conform to specifications or purchase ordersMaintain and organize files of shipping records and goods shippedTrace missing or lost shipmentsEnsure that all incoming and outgoing shipments are properly labeled with identifying information and that correlating documents are available with each shipmentAssist with data entry, project follow-up, and writing purchase orders as requestedRequired competency, education, and experience:

High school diploma or GEDAt least 2 years of related experienceKnowledge of inventory documentation requirements and processKnowledge of outside shipping source requirementsKnowledge of Microsoft Office- primarily Word and ExcelDetail-oriented and very organizedWork environment:

Office setting in a manufacturing environment.
