Job Title: Registered NurseSpecialty: Emergency RoomLocation: Keene, NH 03431Shift: 12-hour Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 36 hours per weekDuration: 13 weeksJob Description:The Emergency Room RN will provide high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing life-threatening conditions or injuries in the fast-paced Emergency Department. The RN will assess, triage, and stabilize patients, performing necessary treatments and interventions as part of the emergency care team. Strong critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills are essential to excel in this role.Responsibilities:Conduct rapid and accurate assessments, identify patient needs, and prioritize care based on acuity.Perform immediate life-saving interventions, such as administering medications, starting IVs, and providing advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) or other emergency treatments.Work closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure timely and effective care.Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records, including treatment plans, medications, and outcomes, using the facility's EMR system.Advocate for patient safety and well-being, ensuring effective communication between patients, families, and the care team.Apply clinical expertise to make quick decisions and initiate necessary treatments in high-pressure situations.Provide emotional support, education, and discharge instructions to patients and their families as they transition out of emergency care.Requirements:Experience:Minimum of 2 years of current ER experience (required).Certifications:ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) (required).BLS (Basic Life Support) (required).PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification (preferred).Licensure:New Hampshire RN License or Compact License (required).
