**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Shift:** 12-hour day/night rotating shift
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in PICU
**License:** Valid nursing license
**Certifications:** BLS, PALS (Chemo certification desired)
**Must-Have:** 2 years PICU experience
**Job Description:**
- Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in a 20-bed PICU with an average daily census of 15.- Work with a congenital heart program, managing cases such as DKA, respiratory issues, neurosurgery, tracheostomies, ventilators, and G-tubes.- Required to titrate drips such as sedation and vasoactive drugs with physician orders.- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including pediatricians, residents, and APPs, available 24/7.- Assist with RT equipment, including vents, CPAP, and BiPap, under RT management.- Ensure all patients are monitored, with tele monitoring managed off-unit.- Participate in self-scheduling, ensuring balanced block scheduling and meeting unit needs.- Work two weekends within a four-week schedule and holidays as per the unit's holiday rotation schedule.- Be prepared to float to other units such as L&D, NICU, and Acute Pediatrics, maintaining normal ratios for each unit.- Follow a dress code of royal blue scrubs with child-friendly tops, excluding T-shirts.- Complete EPIC training, NSO, competencies, and equipment review with a clinical preceptor, including three shifts in PICU with a mentor.- No call requirement, but adherence to a 2-shift cancellation policy in a 13-week contract is expected.
