Summary :The Credit Analyst - Annual Review (Commercial Lending) will evaluate the credit worthiness of existing clients, determine their ability to repay existing multifamily loans, stand-alone commercial mortgages, and other stand-alone term debt through the Abrigo/Sageworks Loan Operating System, and participate in departmental projects. Projects involve reporting information to the Credit Administration Department, Bank Auditors, Bank Regulators, and the Information Technology Department of Dime. This is not an entry level role.

Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $70,000 to $85,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, and location.

Responsibilities :Provide underwriting analysis for bank clients of existing real estate transactions that includes multi-family/mixed-use properties held for investment, commercial investment real estate, and investor-owned residential real estate. Stand-alone business term loans are also part of the Credit Analyst - Annual Review responsibilities.Conduct cash flow analyses (e.g., business, personal and global) to evaluate existing borrower's loan repayment ability.Analyze balance sheets to determine if any deterioration has occurred in the financial strength of the borrower.Update credit reports and disclose any negative trends or findings.Assess Dime's collateral coverage by updating Loan-to -Value ratio at each Annual Review.Test compliance with loan covenants of existing borrowers. Identify covenant violations and incorporate suitable mitigants into credit evaluations.Proactively communicate with loan officers, clients, and the Credit Administration Department during the Annual Review process.Assist in collecting financial information from existing clients for annual reviews.Provide analytical support for senior management as needed.Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum two years' solid credit analyst work or equivalent loan servicing experience.Strong understanding of loan risk factors.Demonstrated knowledge of credit and financial analysis techniques.Demonstrated ability to independently gather, consolidate, analyze, and summarize data and make recommendations for all levels of commercial credit relationships.Good interpersonal skills working with loan officers, credit officers, clients, and executive management.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel).Knowledge of Abrigo/Sageworks End-to-End software system preferred.Effective time management, written and oral communication skills.
