Manufacturing Welder II

Duties and Responsibilities:The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.Management may assign or re-assign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.MIG weldingCreate quality welds according to welding process or drawingsPrepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting steel/aluminum partsChange wire, welding as neededChange gas tanks, as neededInspects parts for any defects. Cleans up work area daily.Fill out production orderResponsible for proper packaging, Identifying and moving of all finished parts to proper locationOperate forklift, if required and trainedPerform first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections as requiredMonitor equipment and request maintenance when requiredPreform simple maintenance and repair as requiredWill be required to cross-train as back-up in other departmentsOther duties as assigned.Education and Experience:High School diploma or equivalent required.1-3 years of experience in MIG welding process1-3 years of experience in TIG welding processPrevious experience using power toolsKnowledge Skills and Abilities:Able to follow directionsGood interpersonal skillsAble to read and understand verbal and written instructionsSupervisory Responsibility:NonePhysical Requirements:Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds,Frequent lifting is 30 pounds or less.
