Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 4x10-Hour (21:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not Specified Experience: Minimum 3 years of CVOR experience; Level 1 Trauma Experience required for first-time travelers License: IN or Compact License required; must have initiated licensing process if start date is 4+ weeks out Certifications: BCLS Must-Have: - Experience in Heart/Lung transplant, valve replacement, aortic dissection- Ability to receive pump lines from perfusion and prepare them for cannulation- Proficiency in scrub roles with comfort in scrubbing CV/PV/Heart and Lung transplant, rated 3/4 Job Description: - Prescreening requires the capability and comfort for scrubbing functions, specifically with cardiovascular and pulmonary procedures.- Candidates should have a balance of skills in most areas excluding specialization in CV and Transplant as floating to various units is expected.- Mandatory call requirement ranging from 90-120 hours over a 6-week schedule.- Average daily census is approximately 70-80 with 24 rooms, requiring adaptable OR RNs.- Experience with special equipment such as DaVinci XI.- Must provide two supervisor references.- Orientation includes 12 hours of modules which are non-billable and expected to be completed pre-start.- Flu Vaccine requirement: Medical/Religious Exemptions Only.- Floating to affiliate hospitals or different units within the hospital as necessary.- Local travelers with a permanent residence within 50 miles of assigned facility will have pay adjustments.Candidates are encouraged to provide 2-3 days of interview availability upon submission.
