Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) - Medsurg Hematology/Oncology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 18 months required; preferably with Level 1 Trauma and Oncology experience License: For start dates 2-4 weeks out, must have Indiana or compact license in hand. For start dates 4+ weeks out, must have started the Indiana/compact licensing process. Certifications: BCLS and ACLS required; ONS preferred Must-Have: Minimum of 2 years' experience from a large urban or academic health center Job Description: - The facility will not allow certain registered nurses to work after a specified date, with exceptions for specific nursing specialties.- First-time travelers are accepted; travel experience is preferred.- Shift requirements are flexible, with options for 4x12 or 3x12-hour shifts.- Travelers are expected to work every other weekend; consecutive weekends may be required based on the greatest need.- Charge nurse responsibilities may be needed, with training and resources provided.- Floating is required within the hospital or to affiliated hospitals.- Staffing ratios are 1:4, focusing on inpatient Hematology/Oncology and overflow Stem Cell Transplant patient populations.- COVID-19 vaccine is required for all travelers; medical or religious exemptions are accepted with a doctor's note.- Applicants must have graduated from an accredited university at the time of graduation.- Certain call-ins for contracted shifts must be made up during the pay period or added to end of the contract.- Two supervisor references are required.- Compliance with travel and certification requirements is necessary.- Orientation includes 12 non-billable hours completed pre-start, reported via the facility's online learning system.
