Overview

This role sits within the Strategic Remediation Control Office, which leads the Transformation and Remediation at Deutsche Bank. The Office leads US oversight of programs which contribute to the uplift of the Firm's capabilities across multiple lines of defense working in partnership with global Businesses, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and Audit. The team ensures alignment of the portfolio of projects remains within groupwide strategic priorities and are successfully implemented to achieve the intended benefit and outcomes. For this role, the Independent Review and Challenge (IRC) team is looking for experienced professionals with expertise in supervision and regulation as well as risk and controls to join our high impact and growing team. This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of the Bank's Transformation and remediation efforts, with exposure to senior management.

Provide effective review and challenge for critical regulatory remediation and transformation programs across the BankIdentify critical gaps, risks and issues in bank's regulatory remediation approach and program and regulatory issue validation and present feedback / challenge to senior key stakeholdersAct as an advisor and provide guidance to business and infrastructure functions in responding to regulatory responses, remediation plans, and implementation of regulatory remediation programsEnsure that regulatory remediation programs clearly articulate risk reduction and demonstrate enhanced control environment with evidence of design and operational effectivenessResponsible for active stakeholder engagement by ensuring close collaboration with key stakeholders across the Bank and working closely with subject matter experts on relevant regulatory remediation and transformation programsHow You'll Lead

Team player with the ability to execute the Bank's critical regulatory initiatives in a timely mannerProven ability to form an independent and comprehensive view on the Bank's regulatory issues and remediation approach across broad financial risk topicsAbility to navigate a global organization and build strong relationships and work collaboratively with senior stakeholders globallySkills You'll Need

Extensive experience in the financial services industry, consulting firms, or regulatory agencies (e.g., ECB, FDIC, FRB, OCC, etc.) focusing on operational risk, Risk and Control Assessment, business and risk controls covering investment bank including trading surveillance and market conductSignificant experience in managing a complex regulatory remediation program with Subject Matter Expertise in first or second line risk management and controls, effectively identifying and assessing risks within regulatory remediation, regulatory issue validation, and key transformation programsProven leadership capabilities with experience in managing senior stakeholdersSignificant experience in interpreting European and US regulatory rules and regulations and dealing with regulatory remediation programsAbility to identify risks and issues and escalate timely and effectivelySkills That Will Help You Excel

Critical and analytical thinker with attention to detail and ability to take initiatives and executeStrong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) with an ability to present and articulate your view to senior management

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $170,000 to $280,500. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
