Overview
You will contribute to a wide range of tasks centered on complex risk analysis and reporting. This will include performing regular and ad hoc analyses of model risk ratings, identifying unresolved issues and drawing up model risk reports across various divisions and legal entities. Based in New York, you will work in close collaboration with senior stakeholders via the relevant Model Risk Governance forums, helping to enshrine a culture of proactive model risk management throughout Deutsche Bank USA - an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated team player.

In the Model Risk Governance area, you will identify and respond to breeches in Model Risk Appetite and Management Reporting measures and work with Stakeholders to understand and help Owners drive remediationYour responsibilities will include reviewing model risk reports for decision-making processes within this area, including ensuring Model Risk fora are appropriately briefed, ensuring reporting is meaningful and accurate and with meaningful contextAt the same time, you will be expected to provide active support when it comes to improving the Model Risk Management framework, including through policies, risk appetite and risk assessmentYou can also look forward to taking part in projects, involving tasks such as drawing up governance execution plans, contributing to working groups and supporting various initiatives and regulatory meetingsRelationship management will form an integral part of your job, which will involve maintaining a close dialogue with senior management and experts across several disciplines as well as responding to queries on an ad hoc basisHow You'll Lead
Interface directly with Model Owners, Users across divisions within the Americas region on Risk Appetite drivers and Finding management; driving local requirements into Policy. Working with Validators and Global Model Risk Portfolio teams to align and optimize approaches to ad hoc queriesWork with both internal and external auditors to ensure that audits progress smoothly and that any issues raised are resolved promptlyProvide updates to senior Model Risk Management globally and local senior management within the Chief Risk Office regarding the Model Risk profile and actions taken to address any breachesSkills You'll Need
Proven experience of Risk Governance at a financial institution, regulatory agency or auditor/consultancyAbility to build relationships with Business Stakeholders both locally and remotely across complex topics with and excellent communication skillsAble to understand complex front to back processes while looking for ways to reduce inefficienciesProficiency in the use of MS Office applications is essential, as are well-developed analytical, presentation and facilitation skillsA degree in Economics, Business Administration or Finance (or similar)Skills That Will Help You Excel
Specialist knowledge with regards to model riskAn excellent understanding of regulatory requirements relating to risk managementA high degree of motivation and a focused approach are considered important, as is the ability to communicate in English (both written and spoken)
Expectations
It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $125,000 to 203,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
