Commercial Finance Associate Attorney

A prominent law firm is seeking a Commercial Finance Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience to work on multifamily housing transactions across the United States. The role involves representing investors and developers in complex commercial real estate transactions, with a focus on affordable housing and community development. Experience with low-income housing tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, and federal subsidy programs is advantageous.Location:Duties:Represent clients in multifamily housing transactions, including those utilizing tax credits and federal subsidy programsHandle complex commercial real estate transactions, including tax-exempt bond financings and HUD-insured financingsAdvise on affordable housing development and community projectsDraft and review transactional documents related to real estate financing and developmentCollaborate with team members on transactions involving low-income housing tax credits and historic rehabilitation tax creditsEngage with clients on the structuring of partnerships and joint ventures, particularly in tax credit and subsidy programsMaintain a strong organizational approach to managing multiple complex transactions simultaneouslyRequirements:2-5 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions, preferably in affordable housing or community developmentFamiliarity with low-income housing tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, and federal subsidy programs is a plusExperience with tax-exempt bond financings, HUD, and Agency financings is advantageousStrong interest in affordable housing and community developmentEducation:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Active bar membership in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction(s)Skills:Excellent written and oral communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex transactionsWillingness to learn and adapt to new areas of commercial finance and real estateDemonstrated interest in affordable housing and community development
