Job Description:
The Windows Server Administrator will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of our Windows Server environment. This role requires hands-on experience with server management, troubleshooting, and ensuring the availability, performance, and security of the systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualization technologies.
Responsibilities:Administer, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, and domain controllers.Perform regular system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.Install, configure, and update server hardware and software.Implement security policies and procedures, including patch management and vulnerability assessments.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to Windows Server environments.Manage backup and recovery operations to ensure data protection and business continuity.Implement and manage virtualization environments (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware).Provide technical support to the IT team and end-users as needed.Create and maintain detailed documentation for server configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.Ensure compliance with industry best practices and company security policies.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Proven experience as a Windows Server Administrator or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related services.Experience with server virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.Strong understanding of networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Good communication skills, both verbal and written.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent.Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation.
