The A/P Accountant under the supervision of the Accounting Manager, the AP Accountant is primarily responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of the agency's accounts payable functions. This position will provide support in audits and special projects as needed. Wu Yee prides itself on a close teamwork environment, we are looking for someone who is highly collaborative and isn't afraid to pick up the phone to answer questions and communicate directly with others.
This is NOT a remote position, this is on site for first 90 days in downtown San Francisco. After introductory period it is hybrid 3 days per week in office is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accurately and timely processes and verifies the validity of invoices, receipts, and payment for the organization Ensures accuracy and responds to payable inquiries Maintains a wide variety of vendor information (W-9s, ACH, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines Enters invoice data into WebiPlex and monitors approval process Handles monthly provider payments Prepares vendor payments for payment through BILL (Bill.com) Maintains vendor information in NetSuite and BILL Is point-of-contact for Bill.com inquiries Prepares bi-monthly NetSuite reports for Payroll Accountant Prepares weekly open payable reports for CFO Troubleshoots and provides excellent customer service for staff and vendors with reimbursement, payables, and payment related questions Performs duties to maintain all financial records for month and year-end close processes including cost allocation and reporting as needed Assists with year-end financial statement audit Cross-trains with other members in the fiscal department Other duties and responsibilities as assigned REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or Business Administration At least 3 years experience in AP and payment processing and reporting Understanding of U.S. GAAP, nonprofit accounting, and general ledger reporting Ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines under minimal supervision Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information Knowledge of NetSuite, Bill.com and DocuPeak Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Ability to work in a diverse and professional work environment COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
