The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) is a key executive responsible for driving the commercial success of the organization by leading sales, marketing, customer experience, and product functions. The CCO ensures that the company's products and services meet customer needs and that the organization achieves its revenue and growth targets. This role is critical in positioning the company competitively in the digital financial services market. Overseeing Marketing, Growth, Products, Partnerships, and Sales (Agency and Mobile) and reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CCO will work closely with the executive team to align commercial initiatives with the company’s overall strategic objectives, ensuring sustainable business success.Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to grow customer base and revenue via agency and mobile channels.Align strategies with the company’s overall business objectives to drive revenue and profitability.Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform the commercial strategy and product development.Sales and Marketing

Oversee sales and set targets to achieve revenue goals for both agency and digital channels.Develop and implement strategies to acquire and retain customers.Lead marketing to build Affinity’s brand to drive customer acquisition.Oversee digital marketing initiatives and campaigns.Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that enhance the company’s market position and contribute to customer and revenue growth.Product Management

Drive the development of new products and services.Ensure existing products remain competitive and innovative to meet market demands.Assess and analyze to drive the profitability of products and channels.Work with the Dev Team to ensure platforms and solutions are customer-centric in design, development, and launch.Develop customer-centric solutions to enhance the customer experience across all touchpoints.Work with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent delivery of superior customer service.Growth

Leverage digital tools and fintech solutions to enhance sales, marketing, and customer experience processes.Utilize market and internal data and analytics to inform strategic decisions, improve product performance, refine products, and allocate resources for optimized performance.Drive customer conversion throughout the onboarding journey, leveraging data and insights.Requirements

Key Skills and Requirements

Deep understanding of sales, marketing, and customer engagement strategies in the financial services industry.Proficient in digital marketing techniques, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, and data analytics.Strong knowledge of product development processes, particularly within a digital financial services context.Expertise in designing and implementing customer experience strategies that drive satisfaction and loyalty.Understanding of managing an agency network to drive financial services.Ability to develop long-term commercial strategies that align with the organization’s goals and market opportunities.Expertise in driving revenue growth through effective sales and marketing strategies.Proficiency in identifying and targeting key customer segments to optimize sales and marketing efforts.Ability to leverage data and analytics to inform commercial decisions and strategies.Ability to lead the commercial function with a strategic vision that aligns with the company’s long-term goals.Possess a growth mindset.Strong ability to mentor, coach, and develop high-performing sales, marketing, and product teams.Proficient in managing change within a dynamic and competitive environment, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum alignment.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex commercial strategies and results to various stakeholders, including the executive team and board of directors.Key Performance Indicators

Improvement in account balances, net interest margin, active customers, Customer Acquisition Cost, and Lifetime Value.Achievement of revenue targets and consistent growth in sales.Success in acquiring new customers and increasing market share.Improvement in customer satisfaction scores, monthly active users, and transaction activity.Development and launch of new products and services that meet market demands.Enhancement of brand visibility and recognition in the market.Successful development and management of strategic partnerships that contribute to revenue growth.Education and Professional Requirements

Master’s degree in marketing, business strategy, or a related field.7-10 years’ experience (5 of which must have been in a senior leadership position).Experience working in banks, telcos, international remittance companies, or Fintech.Experience working in a startup is a plus.Location: Accra, Greater Accra, Ghana, GA079
