Assembly Health (the “Company”) is seeking a Chief Commercial Officer to join our high performing team. Assembly Health (“Assembly”) offers tech enabled Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) services to physician practices, nursing homes, and addiction treatment centers across the United States. Assembly is a portfolio company of Shore Capital Partners.
Assembly exists due to the increasing challenges healthcare providers face to get paid. Today, Assembly serves thousands of healthcare providers and manages billions in collections by providing a full suite of back-offices solutions. Assembly helps clients improve cash flow and collections from payers and patients so they can focus on what they do best: Deliver world class care. Assembly has a strong track record of delivering white glove customer service and has scored in the mid-50s with Client NPS survey results.
Assembly has grown rapidly since its inception in 2018, with revenue increasing significantly. Growth has been fueled by more than 10 partnerships with founder owned, entrepreneurial companies. Assembly has also formed strategic channel partnerships with market leading EMRs, including Nextech, Nextgen, and MatrixCare. Today, Assembly has more than 800 employees in the United States working across seven offices and in a remote based setting and has 600 employees overseas.
The position will report to the CEO and have a high level of visibility and interaction with Shore Capital Partners and the Board of Directors.
What you'll doReporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Commercial Officer (“CCO”) is responsible for driving the overall commercial strategy, revenue growth, and market expansion. The CCO will lead sales, marketing, and partnership development efforts, while ensuring the alignment of services and solutions with market demands. This executive will work cross-functionally to optimize client relationships, improve customer success, and ensure profitable growth. Additionally, the CCO will serve as a member of the executive team helping to develop and drive strategy across the entire organization.
More Specifically, The Chief Commercial Officer WillDevelop and execute the overall commercial strategy to drive revenue growth and market share.Set clear revenue targets and oversee the creation of effective go-to-market plans, ensuring alignment for overall company vision and market opportunities.Drive revenue growth by identifying and developing new sales channels, optimizing existing partnerships, and entering new markets.Collaborate with the finance and operations teams to manage budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue generation and profitability.Oversee our marketing efforts, and take a data driven approach to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and modify where necessary.Establish and maintain key relationships with external stakeholders across our various revenue generating partners.Establish and maintain key relationships with internal subject matter experts that can aid in the sales process.Maintain pricing models and assess the anticipated profit margin of key prospects.Create strategies to improve client onboarding/support and utilize client feedback and market insights to continuously refine solutions.Improve our client referral program to activate existing clients as growth partners.Strong ability to collaborate across functions.Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing commercial team, including sales, marketing, sales operations, and business development professionals.
What we're looking forThe successful candidate for this position will be an experienced and respected operations executive with a demonstrated track record of growing a profitable, complex business, importantly within a high-growth private equity environment.
The Optimal Candidate Will HaveProven track record of 10+ years in strategic sales leadership roles within the B2B healthcare industry is required; RCM industry experience is preferred.A bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare management, or a related field is required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.Demonstrated track record of driving significant revenue growth and developing successful go-to-market strategies that align with company goals.Proven success in growing revenue through strategic partnerships, alliances, and channel development.Experience with account-based marketing to drive revenue growth and collaboration across sales and marketing teams.Ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with stakeholders.Private equity experience is preferred, but not required.Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.Successful team-building skills and knowledge in fostering high performing teams.
