DescriptionSmile Design Dental Margate is seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and experienced dentist to join our growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for the oral health of your patients. You will perform procedures to diagnose and treat cavities, cracked or fractured teeth, and oral diseases. You will also administer medications and anesthetics for tooth extractions, root canals, and other surgical procedures.Dentist Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canalsConduct routine check-upsDiagnose and treat oral diseases and conditionsExplain fully and in detail recommended treatment for patientsCreate detailed and custom treatment plans for patientsCollaborate with dental assistants and hygienists to provide comprehensive dental careMaintain and update accurate and up-to-date medical recordsEducate patients on good oral hygiene habitsPrescribe antibiotics and pain relieving medicationsProvide patient care for cracked or fractured teethPerform procedures to treat decay and cavitiesExamine patients for dental and jaw diagnosesCreate models for dental appliancesPerform general dentistryInterpret x-rays and diagnostic testsAdminister anestheticsPerform surgical procedures on teeth, bone, and soft tissuesEducate patients on aftercare and answer questionsDentist Requirements and QualificationsD.D.S. or D.M.D. from a school accredited by Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and American Dental Association.Licensed to practice in the state of FloridaCertification in CPRGood interpersonal skills and communicationComputer skills; Microsoft Office SuiteAccurate and precise attention to detailCompassionate and caring of patientsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAble to work in an intense, concentrated environmentCalm and cool-headed with a positive attitudeComplies with all office, local, state, and American Dental Association regulations, protocols, and proceduresValid license to practice dentistryProficient in medical documentation and record keepingKnowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocolsFamiliarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacyStrong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistryAbility to take and interpret vital signs accuratelyProficiency in dental software such as DentrixEEO StatementWe are an equal employment opportunity employer.
