Gundersen Health System, based in La Crosse, WI is seeking an O besity Medicine (FM or IM) Physician
to join its established Bariatric Surgery and Obesity Medicine Clinic. The practice is located at our Onalaska, WI Campus which is located just a short distance from La Crosse.Highlights:MBSAQIP accredited program
Management of the disease of obesity, including management of complex medical and psychosocial disorders
Active participation in the ongoing management of patients who have had or are planning to have bariatric surgery
Active participation in the management of care for patients who are pursuing non-surgical weight management
Our multidisciplinary team utilizes both surgical and non-surgical weight management methods
Our Weight Management System and Minimally Invasive Bariatric Surgery team consists of:Bariatric surgeons
Obesity Medicine Medical Director
Bariatric surgery and obesity medicine APCs
Multidisciplinary team consisting of PhDs, RDs, RNs
Active participation in Bariatric Committee meetings to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to care
Minimum Criteria:Completion of an ACGME accredited FM or IM residency
Must hold current certification in respective specialty
Board certification by the ABOM
If not currently certified, must be actively pursuing certification and have completed such within 6 months of onset of employment.
Must have completed an accredited graduate medical training program and be board certified or eligible within the area of medicine stated. In addition, must have or be able to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations. Medical staff in our system will supervise advanced practice clinicians. Medical staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system. Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all medical staff.
