MD/DO Pulmonary/Sleep Medicine

Gundersen Health System, based in La Crosse, WI, is seeking a Pulmonary/Sleep Medicine Physician to join our growing Sleep Center. This practice would be 50% Sleep Medicine combined with outpatient Pulmonary Medicine.Responsibilities:Join 2 physicians and 3 APC staff in the sleep practice and 4 pulmonary physicians and 3 APC in pulmonary clinic.Manage an 8-bed sleep lab on site, plus a 2-bed regional sleep lab.Partnership with five rural hospitals with 2-bed sleep labs.Primary Pulmonary responsibilities will include outpatient pulmonary clinic, 3-4 inpatient pulmonary floor shifts per month, staffing of APC's, teaching residents and medical students, and PFT reads.Work with a comprehensive pulmonary care team including respiratory therapists, medical assistants, nurses, pulmonary nodule clinic, and COPD clinic.Excellent polysomnographic technicians, respiratory therapists, medical assistants and neuro-diagnosticians.Participate in a vibrant virtual and telemedicine practice in sleep medicine.Provide care in a 325-bed Level II Trauma Center with two medical transport helicopters as well as a ground ambulance which services a 22-county region of more than 700k.Engage in an innovative academic environment in partnership with the University of Wisconsin Medical School, focusing on teaching and research in addition to patient care.Contribute to our environmental sustainability program that improves community health through clean energy initiatives.Qualifications:Must have completed an accredited graduate medical training program and be board certified or eligible within the area of medicine stated.Must have or be able to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations.Medical staff in our system will supervise advanced practice clinicians.Medical staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system.Teaching students, residents, fellows, or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all medical staff.La Crosse is a historic, vibrant city nestled between bluffs and the legendary Mississippi River.
