A prominent law firm based in Burlingame, CA, is seeking a dedicated Workers’ Compensation Attorney to join their legal team. This role involves managing a diverse caseload, including providing counsel, conducting litigation, and representing clients in complex workers’ compensation defense matters. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling defense cases and demonstrate exceptional legal and negotiation skills.Duties:

Manage a full caseload of workers’ compensation cases, ranging from routine to complex.Develop and implement litigation strategies for effective case management.Prepare and execute comprehensive litigation plans and, where necessary, budget plans.Conduct discovery processes to gather pertinent evidence.Represent clients at court appearances and other legal proceedings.Prepare and compose legal documents, including motions, briefs, and correspondence.Prepare cases for trial, ensuring thorough research and strategic planning.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other involved parties.Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing parties, advocating for client interests.Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in the defense of workers’ compensation cases.Proven ability to handle a full caseload independently.Experience in litigation, including trials, discovery, and legal document preparation.Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.An active member of the California State Bar.Certifications:

California State Bar membership is in good standing.Skills:

Strong litigation and trial skills with the ability to manage cases from inception to resolution.Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.Ability to create comprehensive litigation and budget plans.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Capable of multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced legal environment.Familiarity with California Workers' Compensation law.
