Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. The Opportunity:The Senior Director of Sales Operations, Analytics & Training is accountable for providing end-to-end infrastructural, operational and analytical support to the commercial field teams. This person will be a contributing member of the Sr. Commercial Field Leadership team, and their team will work extremely closely with all other commercial sub-functions including Insights & Analytics, Marketing, Field Sales, Market Access, and other non-commercial functional groups. This individual will shape the geographical design of the commercial field teams, the analytical infrastructure needed for effective business/call planning, the CRM interface design, incentive compensation design, and all aspects of the needed training support to optimize the effectiveness of the teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrates exceptional abilities for cross-functional collaboration and team spirit.
Designs the geographical boundaries (zip to terr) of the Field Sales & Regional Insights & Engagement teams to optimize balance of potential, workload, and customer continuity.
Provides accurate & insightful HCP, Account & network targeting assessments.
Optimally designs a user-friendly & intuitive Customer Performance Dashboard atop the CDW that provides real-time insights to field & leadership for business/call strategy planning.
Works with CRM vendor on design/functionality/customization of CRM platform.
Oversees the Field Team Onboarding experience in conjunction with cross-functional partners.
Leads design of the quarterly Sales Force Incentive Plans & periodic Performance Contests.
Conducts initial & continuous Field-Force Training Needs Assessment.
Thoughtfully designs/executes both initial & ongoing training content, curriculum & workshops.
In collaboration with Sr. Sales Leadership, identifies & incorporates a core Selling Model with appropriate Training Skills curriculum.
In collaboration with Sr. Sales Leadership, identifies the priority Core Sales Competency framework and develops assessment curriculum/support for field leadership team(s).
Drives the Training Module Content development & champions it through MLR governance.
Builds, designs, and executes both in-person & virtual Core Training Experiences & skills workshops.
Identifies rigorous Training Assessments to measure efficacy of training curriculum & uncover additional training needs.
Collaborates with Sr. Sales & Marketing Leadership to thoughtfully design Launch / Annual Training Meeting agendas and training content.
Complies with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of RevMed activities.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
MA/MS/BA/BS degree in related discipline desired and 12+ years of related experience.
Prior sales operations, analytical & training leadership experience in the Oncology space.
Prior experience building out analytical & operational infrastructure from the ground up.
Experience in small to midsize biotech space.
Proven ability to manage, lead, mentor and onboard newer members of the team.
Oncology product launch experience.
Experience launching an oral Oncologic.
Proven effectiveness in highly collaborative & cross-functional working environments.
Valid driver's license.
~10% travel required.
Ability to work independently to execute strategic and tactical plans under tight timelines.
Ability to assemble and lead cross-functional teams toward a shared vision of success.
Ability to present ideas effectively to individuals or groups, targeting presentation to the needs of the audience.
Strong organization, planning, project management, technical and analytical skills.
Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
Expert knowledge of all relevant topics (i.e. distribution, data-acquisition, IT needs, etc.) to this role.
Advanced degree preferred (MBA, PharmD, PhD).
Experience in the GI and/or NSCLC oncology space.
Other related experience (e.g., sales, sales management market research, consulting, etc.).
The base salary range for this full-time position is $240,000 to $270,000 for candidates based at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the minimum and maximum salary for the position in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
