Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.
The Opportunity:
The Human Resources Director will partner with HRBPs and COEs to provide strategic planning, execution and evolution of skill-building programs and approaches to foster a supportive and positive work environment in alignment with our RevMed culture. This individual will provide leadership, direction, and expertise in supporting the employment life cycle with emphasis on employee relations (ER) matters. In addition, they will be responsible for the ongoing development of our HR processes as RevMed grows to support ER matters, working across our HRBP team and with functional leadership and managers to ensure alignment of best practices.
Considered as subject matter expert in employee relations and workplace policies; collaborate closely with our people managers, HRBPs, Compliance, and Legal to recommend solutions, balancing business, employee, and legal needs by building and fostering relationships with the business.
In partnership with HRBP, provide one-on-one mentoring and development feedback to our people managers around managing employee relations issues, conducting investigations concerning allegations of RevMed policy, and evaluating, and enhancing job performance and other workplace behaviors.
Lead the development and implementation of a variety of qualitative and quantitative measures to track the effectiveness of ER processes. Provide rigorous data analysis and report solutions based on business needs, highlighting key trends to actively drive proactive solutions.
Partner with COEs to develop and deliver training programs to instill conflict resolution methodologies into our people managers/ employees’ skillsets.
Develop guidelines, policies, and procedures for the proper handling of issues and investigations in accordance with applicable employment and labor laws. Create and deliver ER training to a variety of audiences in the business.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
10+ years of progressive HR / Employee Relations experience in a high growth and highly collaborative biotech or pharmaceutical organization.
Anticipate potential issues and diagnose root cause through active listening and thoughtful inquiry.
Effective consultative, communication, and organizational skills including strong writing skills and documentation abilities.
Forward thinking, ability to exercise good judgement, and make decisions that are appropriate for the organization.
Good project management skills with the ability to manage projects or program implementations, including development of clear timelines/milestones.
Strong analytical capabilities, effective at diagnosing organizational issues and demonstrated skill in use and application of data to address issues.
Strive for continuous improvement and embrace innovative ideas in daily work.
In-depth knowledge of US employment law, HR compliance, and best practice.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Coaching certification and/or leadership training
Experience delivering training to managers on topics related to team member coaching and performance management.
Experience as an employee relations expert at a similarly sized biotech company, with rapid growth and first NDA / Commercialization.
Accustomed to working in a matrixed and dynamic environment that is highly collaborative and where accountability, change agility, flexibility, urgency, and responsiveness are valued.
Experience defining and building processes across the HR function to support cross-functional HR effectiveness.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $210,000 to $235,000 for candidates based at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the minimum and maximum salary for the position in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
Please note that base salary is one part of the overall total rewards program at RevMed, which includes competitive cash compensation, robust equity awards, strong benefits, and significant learning and development opportunities.
