We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Maintenance Specialist to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines by conducting maintenance and repairs on a variety of complex machinery. This role is a perfect fit for individuals who are passionate about problem-solving, have a keen eye for detail, and are well-versed in automation engineering.

Responsibilities:

The Engineering Maintenance Specialist will:

  1. Oversee and conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on all production and plant equipment to ensure maximum operational effectiveness.
  2. Develop, implement, and manage maintenance procedures and processes to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  3. Utilize PLCs and automation engineering techniques to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery issues.
  4. Design, install, and maintain hydraulic circuits and related equipment.
  5. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  6. Collaborate with other engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes and equipment performance.
  7. Provide technical expertise and training to junior maintenance staff.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records and documentation.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Engineering Maintenance Specialist position should possess the following:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a maintenance engineering role within the manufacturing industry.
  3. Proficient in PLC programming and automation engineering.
  4. Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance procedures and hydraulic circuits.
  5. Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery and equipment issues.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  7. Strong communication and team-working skills.
  8. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  9. Proven ability to follow stringent safety regulations and maintain high-quality standards.
  10. Certification or training in relevant areas such as automation, hydraulics, or PLCs will be an added advantage.
